I monitor motorcycle forums ad naseum and often times I see someone complaining about sport bike riders.

Their message will inspire other forum users to respond with similar sentiment, spewing forth examples of why they hate them.

Here's the latest post I found...

A bunch of crazy fools on "Sport Bikes" passed us doing wheelies on a busy 5 lane Hwy. doing over 65 'cause that's how fast we were going in the cage. I told my wife that "if one of those damn fools, flips in front of us he will be nothing more than a speed bump because i'm not risking our butts and getting in a wreck to miss him!"

This message was posted on a forum of Harley Davidson riders.

It's more dangerous for a someone to drink a few beers before a ride, than it is to do a wheelie down the freeway.

But the fact is that no one does a wheelie on a freeway unless they have the skill and confidence to do it safely. The same argument is put forth about drinking beer before a ride. If you can drink and still ride safely, then what is the danger?

We all have a wild streak in us to some lesser or greater degree. We all have done dangerous things because of it, and we'll continue to take risks in the name of fun.
